This extremely dark and out of date kitchen of a Cambridge home was in need of a facelift. The existing slate floor was retained while crisp, white cabinetry was added along with new appliances. Since the ceiling height was only 8’, the light box over the island and the bulkhead on the perimeter were removed to increase the visual height in the room as well to allow for the decorative pendant lighting. The new, natural stone counter top was carefully selected for the veining colours to compliment the slate floor, as well as the perimeter Caesar stone counter top. This kitchen is now a bright and functional place for family and friends to gather.
